Title	: ORGANIC II

Aim	: To prepare a sample of soap .

Apparatus : vegetable oil , sodium hydroxide , 1M sodium chloride , beakers
Bunsen burner 

Directions :
20 ml of the vegetable oil was heated with 50 ml of the sodium hydroxide soln.
Sodium chloride was added and the mixture allowed to settle . It was then filtered .
The residue is washed with cold distilled water . 
THE RESIDUE IS THE SOAP
