Aim	: To prepare chlorine

Apparatus : gas jar , flask , delivery tube , water , concentrated hydrochloric acid
potassium permanganate crystals

Directions : 
Place some permanganate crystals in a flask . Add the acid and collect the chlorine 
gas over water . Observe the colour and odour of the gas . Test the gas with moist 
litmus paper .
Do not smell the gas directly
